The Law firm Kjær & Co DA has three business departments.
Real Estate comprises public regulations, including land use regulations, construction regulations, compulsory acquisition and land consolidation. The Department also engages in property development and construcion contracts. Furthermore, the Department work with sale/purchase agreements and disputes connected to real estate trade. The Department also takes on liability claims directed against real estate agents and appraisers.
Trade & Industry advice on the formulation of contracts and on Norwegian law related to a number of commercial law areas such as company law, banking, finance and insurance, shipping/transport and offshore, agency and distribution, services and employment, intellectual property rights and IT/media and telecommunication. The Department regularly gives advice to clients in connection with M&A transactions and joint ventures. Advice is also rendered in connection with public procurements.
Private Individuals is our Department assisting in connection with matrimonial law and cohabitants, the rights of children, inheritance, conflicts in relation to employment, consumer disputes and claims against the tort feasor and the national health authorities in relation to personal injuries. The Department handles public child care disputes, both on behalf of public authorities and private parties.
All Departments have comprehensive expericence in conducting litigation within their practice areas. The Trade & Industry Department also provide assistance in connection with international arbitration proceedings.
